Hi Neil,

When the IR upgrade is release it will allow S-Video, Stereo and IR over a
single CAT5 cable.

Subject: [KAT5] Infrared - KAT5 switcher

I'm trying to plan the cabeling in my house (Goal posts keep moving
as more toys come along) and am thinking about IR at the moment.

Will the KAT5 switcher's infrared reciever be incorporated in the
KAT5 receiver? If so how many cat5 connections will it use?

Or will I need a separate infrared reciever in each room or both?

Neil
