Hi Martin,

Dont worry too much. Sony is just one of the IR formats that it will be
possible to use. I am just trying to find out how common Sony Laserdisc is.
I know that lots of people have Sony TV, VCR and CD so those codes would be
more likely to clash with existing equipment.
