I dont think the HD box is broken but I dont think it likes your KAT5
transmitter. The intial KAT5 units had an AC coupled input termination
whic=

worked fine on the majority of sources but there were a few pieces of
equipment that either wouldnt produce a signal or lost sync giving images
such as you show in your picture.

This was cured by a simple modification and later units were supplied with
the mod already done.

According to my records, your transmitter is Serial number 05480212
manufactured on 2nd July 2002. This may well be before the modification was
done as standard.

Remove the lid of transmitter and look to see if there are two resistors
mounted on the rear of the SCART socket.

If there are there will be two empty positions on the PCB marked R307 and
R407. That would indicate a modified unit in which case I dont know why you
are having a problem.

If there are no resistors on the rear of the SCART then please return the
unit to me for it to be modified free of charge. Alternatively if you are

K
with soldering I can give you details of the modification.

I cant test with SKY HD as I dont have it and wont be getting it for some
time as I dont have an HDTV. I recently bought a new 32" CRT which
looks
great :)
