Hi Brendan,
Even better than that....on the way home yesterday I had chance to read all
the leaflets I picked up at the show. One company has a mains cable which
is
IDENTICLE to the Arctic Grade mains lead in the Maplin catalogue. 69p per
metre or 40UKP per 100m reel. The only noticable difference was the company
name printed on the sheath. Price for the higrade stuff....40 QUID PER
METRE
!!!!
Among the claimed benefits was one that particularly appealed to me....
Computers...your computer will process data more quickly !!!
Forget that Athlon 700....
change the mains lead and your 286 is good for another millenium :-))
Ever the sceptic
Keith

Hi Keith,
Haven't been to the Show but agree with your sentiments re use of
widescreen
and partic, re leads.
I simply can not understand how these manufacturers get away with the
pricing and the bull re leads.
Even more disgraceful are the so-called reviewers who describe cables in
the
same terms as they would an amp or a speaker ...... (equally bull++++
terms). I have enev seen people say that a phono lead 'sounded better when
the connections were reversed' ......................
Ah well ...
Brendan
