If it is I would do everything in my power to make life as difficult as
possible for these cowboys!
Contact Citizens Advice, BBC WatchDog, Trading Standards...basically anyone
who will listen.
That's the most incredible thing I have ever heard of regarding a retailers
attitude to one of their customers (and I'm a retailer myself).
