Armoured Cable
The armour is exactly what it say it is.. ARMOUR
It is there for physical protection of the cable NOT electrical protection.
The armour MUST be earthed but there must also be a dedicated core in the
cable that is the primary earth for whatever is at the other end.
At least....thats how I understand it to be based on observing the
practices employed by the site electrical contractors at work.

Subject: [ukha_d] Armour cabling/domain registering
A little off subject, Can anyone advise best place to order armoured cable
either 2 3 or 4 core.
Is it prudent to use 2 core and earth only the armour, I have always
earthed a core as well..
Secondly I am considering registering some domains with UK2NET.(only 2.50
.uk or 12.50 .com) has anyone used them. The reason I am asking their
credit card form does not appear secure.
Thanks all
Campbell
