Graham,

I haven't got an easy way of getting cables around the house now, (Already
run what I thought was enough cabling and decorated....foolish me), to have
one single point to transmit and receive is less disruptive.

I am guessing that I will need IR receivers at each location, there isn't
line of sight between locations.

Why not use an infra red keyboard/mouse with ir receivers/transmitters.
