That is where it does make sense, particularly for things that move around,
but for single items in one place.  But I'm sure I've seen pictures where
all the mains wiring is home run to one location, with huge banks of X10
DIN boxes- is there a good reason for using X10?  Or is it just that it's a
reasonably priced DIN rail mounted remote controlled dimmer- I expect it's
pretty reliable over 2m!!!
