I have just recieved my PR511 Dual Floodlight X10 Motion Sensor and plan to
install it at the weekend, weather permitting. Anyone had a go at this?
There are a few points I would like clarification on..
The manual states that "DO not connect the Black (live) to a switched
Live
as from a wall switch. The PHS01 (PR511) requires uninterrupted power at
all
times" but it also has an insert that says "WARNING: To prevent
severe
damage to the motion detector, DO NOT operate this unit from a dimmer or
any
kind of remote controlled wall switch module".
I was planning on using a SS13E RF Switch to control the light from inside
the house. Can I do this? The main switch for the light is in a two gang
wall switch at the other end of the kitchen and I want to use the SS13E
closer to the kitchen door for switching the heating and outside lights.
Can
I just leave the existing two gang switch in place (but leave it on at all
times) or should I replace it?
Confusion reigns....
Michael
