It is FREE software that allows you to add email capabilities to your own
intranet.
Works with IIS3, IIS4, IIS5 and ANY version of MS Personal Web Server.
Can also be driven directly from Visual Basic, Visual C++ and any other
development environment supporting COM components.
Seems ideal for HA use to have the home email certain events to you and the
price is right :-)
Just install the software and write an ASP page (or doctor the sample page)
and you are sending email.
For those of us who have yet to delve into the Linux arena (or who have no
wish to) this seems like the ideal bit of software. Dead easy to use, you
tell it who to send to, who to send from, the body of the message and the
name of the SMTP server you will be using and away you go.
They also include code samples.
I have successfully used it pointing at smtp.domaindlx.com (where my Taboo
TV guide is hosted) and post.btinternet.com (my normal outgoing email
server) using dial ups to BT Internet and Freeserve.
