I was going to ask some similar questions shortly, but as we're on
the subject.

Our house has two analogue lines, with sockets for each in various
places.  The second is not currently connected, in fact I don't even
know where the master for it is!
If I upgrade to HH, can I distribute the second analogue on the
second circuit, or would that interfere with external equipment?  If
I can, do I need to find the master, or can I attach on at any point?

The master socket for the currently connected analogue line is in the
hall, but my proxy server is on the second floor.  To get digital to
the proxy, can I use a CAT5 run, or would it be better to locate the
HH box beside the proxy, where there are sockets for both analogue
lines, or is there another alternative I haven't considered?

Hi Chris

the "split" socket....or NTE5 to give it its proper name will be
replaced by
a new NTE. The removeable faceplate has terminations for the HH box
and your
existing internal wiring.

The digital line goes into the HH box and analogue 1 is back fed into
the
faceplate for onward distribution around the home. For analogue 2 you
have
to plug into the PST socket on the HH box itself. If you with to
cable that
elsewhere you will need a plug ended to spade terminal cord and a
suitable
box to connect to fixed wiring.
