A nice bit of kit mark but  it wont give you integrated control and
monitoring of all HA related systems from a panel installed in each
major room. Try telling it to turn your central heating down;)

I would say there are two ways to go for this kind of
control....remote based, which means having a pronto or equivalent in
every room or carrying it around with you and you would also need IR
capability in each room..... or the wired option....I may be lazy but
I don't mind crossing the room ;)

One advantage of the wired system is that it can give you responses on
the LCD or other display. If I interrupted the wife watching
coronation st because I wanted to turn the heat up she would kill me
so a TV interface like HV isn't suitable for all applications.


I would imagine the ideal solution is a combination of the two.
