There is a newsgroup that discusses this topic frequently - can't=20=
quite remember the name, but something like alt=2Euk=2Edigital-tv=2E

Regrettably I did not have the choice when I had my box installed, so=20=
ended up with the Amstrad=2E According to the engineer (who had=20=
obviously been trained for at least an hour) they are all the same=20=
inside, and in defence of the Amstrad box it has, so far, been ok=2E =20=
Shame the same cannot be said of the Sky software, which seems to=20=
require a 'reboot' (ie switch off & on) at least once a week=2E At=20=
least it's not bad looking=2E

Hi all,

Does anyone have any recommendations as to which Sky Digiboxes are any
better=20=
than others?

I'm having Sky Digital installed on Wednesday, and it's just occurred to
me=20=
that there are a number of different Digiboxes out there (Pace and Amstrad
to=20=
name but a couple), and whilst I know that there isn't really a
"choice" per=20=
se, I am led to believe that if I express a preference for any digibox
over=20=
another, then Sky (or the installer) will "try" to provide the
preferred box=2E=20=
(no guarantee obviously though!)=2E

Therefore, is there any box that I should express a preference for, or=20=
indeed, to avoid like the plague? (Avoiding anything with
"Amstrad" written=20=
on the from goes without saying!!)

All comments greatfully accepted!!

Cheers=2E

Paul G=2E
