The cheapest/most convenient places I've found have been the electrical
retailers in UK airport departure lounges.

They certainly sell them in North and South Terminals at Gatwick, and 1 and
4 at Heathrow. I assume others, also.

I've never known them to be out of stock, and the prices, while not maybe
the cheapest, are certainly not at rip-off levels...

Does anyone know of a source for adapters to convert a UK square pin plug
to a USA style one?  Apparently in Thailand the use 220v and 50Hz but with
USA plugs, and someone there wants some X10 from me.  If not anyone know of
a UK source of USA plugs?
