Have to agree with Mark.

The whole point of this list being setup was for DISCUSSION.

It was set up so that Announce could be used for Mark to announce things to
the UKHA community and the real addicts amongst us could slog things out
here.

One small point to make......

Maybe "we" and I use that term collectively, could be a bit
quicker to amend
the subject line when we go off at a tangent, as has been known to happen
occasionally :-))

I believe that even if in-depth discussions were moved elsewhere - which I
DO NOT think should happen - there would still be occasions when people
would get fed-up with a particular thread. It sounds like a repeat of the
old "uk.comp.home.automation" syndrome again. People would end up
subscribing to all so they didnt miss anything.

Better to keep it united in one place. Most people have mail clients
capable
of filtering messages and bandwith isnt a problem these days...except when
Mark is on his hols connected by GSM :-)
