Many years ago I got the wrong side of a BMW electronic ignition system
(used to work on BMW's) and the jolt put me on the bonnet of the car
behind - 45,000 volts according to the label but thankfully no real
current.
Never had a mains shock yet. That one experience has made me very careful
with electricity. Got into trouble with the electricity board many years
ago
when I pulled out their fuse so I could work on the fuse box. Just moved in
story almost covered it and the fellow went away with a lop sided grin.

No, I've fitted some new brushes to the motor, and had dropped a screw
inside the machine, I got a shock off something and it burnt all the way
across my hand as I whipped it out!!
