There are various valves available, either electrically operated (from RS
and similar suppliers) or electrically controlled thermostatic valves (from
the same people that make radiators, boilers etc). There are also 'bodges'
to convert standard TRVs to electrical operation (using a small heater coil
to open the valve when required)
