I used one a while ago, thought that's great (for the money), and it
prompt=
ly
went out of stock before I could order one. The review comments on the
fir=
ebox
site are quite useful - reading between the lines there are a few duff
game=
s on
there, a few clones, and lots of the old faves. Certainly a lot of the
guy=
s I
work with love 'em. Only reason I've not got one is that I'm on a
SWMBO-in=
duced
gadget embargo at the moment. :-(.

I've used Firebox a lot for other stuff, and they're very reliable.

www.firebox.co.uk do something for (I think) about =A330 - can't quite
remember
what it's called, but basically it's a hand-held joystick/paddle with a 100
or
so old Atari/Intellivision games built in - Asteroids, missile command etc
etc.
Might be a bit retro for what you're looking for, but IMHO you can't beat
the
classics!

Alternatively, I had t endure a boot sale last weekend due t not being
able to
fit the cars in the garage, and there were loads of Sega Megadrives around
=
-
didn't ask the price, but anything more that =A310-15 would surprise me.

Hi All,

I need suggestions for buying a games console (possibley secondhand as I
d nt need/want state of the art).

It isnt for me, its for Sharon and Amber t play games on.

I d nt need anything fancy as the kind of games Sharon likes are the games
on Open eg Beehive Bedlum and Tetris etc.

I was thinking of looking round the local car boot sales at the weekend to
see what I could pick up but as I know absolutely nothing about games
consoles I wouldnt know if I was looking at a good on or not !!!!

Keith (not a gamer !!!)
