OT - Motor Neuron Disease

Hi friends,

Thanks to all of you who have helped with this, a small and really
irrelevant point is the person in question is a relative of a colleague not
a relative of mine, so I am "out of it" as well.

I would like to say that I was "removed" from serving with the
Royal Air
Force due to "hurting" my back which got to unnecessary and
painful
proportions to the point when I was just collapsing in public! very
undignified and very very painful and I would have loved to have had access
to some of the kit I now have access too, my "quality of life"
would have
been a lot better.

The point I would like to make is I believe STRONGLY that this sort of
technology comes into its own when it can be applied to the needy it is a
fantastic thing to be able to help someone....

I was thinking a little while ago wouldn't it be nice if "we" as
"experts"
could donate a weekend to helping someone in need in this area, when I used
to fly I always filled the seats by taking people who had never flown
before
some who were handicapped, I reluctantly admit it gave me a fantastic sense
of achievement, once again, to make someone smile is a wonderful thing.
