Geraint, can I just say that I don't give a stuff how many comma's or full
stops you use. I'm only interested in the content, not the packaging.

I also find I learn by reading replies to other peoples questions, and
DO NOT want list members like Geraint to be put off from asking because
they
are concerned they may become attacked by biggots of any type.

Maybe someone [Timothy?] could explain to me what 'proper english' is, as
Ian has already pointed out that the language is constantly evolving. Maybe
someone could post an email in 'proper english' from the 17th century? I
wonder how easy that would be to read ...

"For as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any
conditions be brought under English rule. It is not for glory, nor riches,
nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which
no honest man gives up but with life itself." From The Declaration of
Arbroath 1320.
