There's the FILES area of this mailing list on Yahoo but I know there are people who can't access it since the move from Egroups.
 
Alternatively I can add anything useful to the downloads section of the site.

What would be the chances of setting up an area on your site for usefull add
ons /  utilities examples of data files etc?
Rather like remote central has for pronto stuff
It would save off group posts for sending attachments , and thus keep
threads complete

Or are there any other ideas

Yes,,,its very easy really.

When you use the pull down menu for programming, the one with Comm
Port etc, one of the options is DESKTOP, just go into there and
switch it to OFF, and then the desktop dissapears.

I go the answer for the use of the clock outside of the Graphical
Display.

You just use the DROP-IN APP and select the clock.sal file.
