Decided to go for the eTrex Legend in the end so I have the option of using
AutoRoute in the car or downloading a map to the GPS receiver when out
walking.

Very impressed with it. Only manage to navigate to the local shops and
back so far but will give it a harder test when I'm out walking at the
weekend.

Found a good site for any GPS owners and walkers - A bit of a big tech kids
treasure hunt. People hide stuff, leave the coordinates, then others go
and search them out. Leaving presents and comments for the next person
along.
