Maybe i've got a weird one from the norm, or I could be completely
and utterly wrong,  but i've got it knocking about somewhere as I
just pulled it out, as it went faulty.

mine used the power adaptor as per a floppy drive, but the IDE cable
was the same (read : I think !)

I've just ordered a new laptop drive, and now i'm dreading that it
will not fit the laptop.
