Stranded cable is generally more forgiving to bending and moulding around
things. Solid tends to let you have one or two goes then it breaks.

The only gotcha will be if you are croning (sp) i.e. using a push tool onto
the back of a panel - solid works better. You could tin the wires or
stranded
with a little solder to overcome this though.

As for a source - Farnell, RS should be able to sell it by the reel.

Kind regards

Matthew
