I've just bought Bay Netgear access point and pcmcia card from
www.dabs.com=
=20
for 240UKP plugged it in this morning - 2mins later I could browse from
the=
=20
bottom of the garden :-)

NAT does not break icq (some things like the phone thingy don't work). You
=
may=20
find that netmeeting doesn't fly anymore. I do NAT on my linux box and icq=
=20
works no problems (but like I say the phone bit doesn't)

All the best

Matthew

have s=
ettled on LinkSys stuff because of price/performance. This is a simple

dge type AP and doesn't include any router or modem. AP details here...

why t=
his card and this access point will not live in perfect harmony and let me

use my Epod, iPAQ, Win98 laptop to do all the usual Net stuff I want.
Ther=
e was talk here the other day about APs using NAT that wouldn't allow ICQ

drivers and is listed as OK on the Epods hack site.

prices plus vat, 1.5% Credit Card charge and delivery. If anyone else is =
interested let me know and we'll see if ordering a few would make any
diffe=
