After Alancc's tip, CPC have some
pull/push solenoids available. They've faxed me over a copy of the page in
their catalogue, and the last one, the SM2 series (12v, pull/thrust) has
tapped holes for attaching. I'm concerned tho that if I have a button, it
will do repeated thrust attempts - when only 1 will do !!!
Is there anyway to interupt the 12v
signal from the button to the solenoid so it only sends the voltage breifly
?
So - next step - where's the cheapest
12v dc transformer I can get ? I will need to split the voltage to two
buttons, so both the left and right doors can be opeed. And maybe the front
mirror too
Now Maplins have some nice looking
buttons I need to check out...
