Think they have a built in timer bit like the K600 motor, but obviously there's a way round this.  I know it lets you adjust the thickness of the cord - was going to try to modify one to see if they would work with vertical blinds.

Hombase in Newtownabbey still have a 1/2 dozen - £44.  Have no experience of them in action.
