Graham,

Here's a set of updates from some of my colleagues. I hope it helps:

-PayPal https://www.paypal.com/  No
experience as implementer or user.

-http://www.clickpay.net/ - from
Bank of Ireland

-HostPro - One of my colleagues wrote "I use a company called HostPro
for a
number of my websites. They have a number of service offerings including
shared/dedicated servers, NT/W2k/*nix machines. I don't know what your
client's budget is, but you might be able to find something there.

I know that some of their offerings come with a bundled shopping cart (I
think Miva) You'll have to have a look at their site though:
http://www.hostpro.com (they are US
based)"

Another one has added:

-"Demon Internet offer a service I have an article about it the whole
structure is there just put the website on top.

I have also noticed with Clinton cards website that they handle their
transactions through a service provided by the Royal Bank of Scotland in
conjunction with QSi payments at this website address
<http://www.qsipayments.com/index.jsp>
.

<http://www.securepay.com/>
is another one

Securcor also provide a pay service. Apparently it has become pretty big
business to lease this part of ecommerce out."

And finally:

"
www.verio.co.uk - they are very good offer cheap + cheerful ecommerce
packages this is however vitrual hosting, if you want to go down the
dedicated server route try
www.verio-advanced.co.uk . Another good one is http://www.magic-moments.com
they are UK based and reasonably priced , and are flexible about server
configuration as well (Im a share holder ;) ). "

I hope that helps

alex
