I think that was the problem, they have to let you on BUT that sometimes
use
all sorts of excuses to stop you, hence the bag....

And yes I agree, it is a work of art!

The Brompton *is* the best if you aren't doing huge mileages but isn't
cheap.
All train operators allow folding bikes to be carried but some bus drivers
get sniffy.  Even a binbag can solve this problem!

There's a great Brompton list called Brompton.Talk on yahoogroups (nee
egroups)

The Brompton is great for gadget freaks as it's a thing of great beauty and
ingenuity. It folds down to nothing, weighs very little, but let's you get
places very quickly. I regularly touch 30-35mph on mine on the way to work
and
can thread through traffic with ease.
