Don't temperature sensing, CCTV (and probably IR) apply to any kind
of home? Even an open plan house is going to separate living and
sleeping quarters in some way.

The biggest pain for me is actually the inability to site hardwired
network devices in ad-hoc locations, combined with the 10 connection
limit at the AP. Again, relevant to an open plan environment I think.
