My hall switch is now connected to a 100W wire-wound transformer (i rerouted it)

The current switch has a live in, then goes back out in line - the black cables (neutral yes ?) are joined together - so would i have to break into this ?

You should already have a live loop to the existing switch ... You
therefore need to get a neutral feed down to the LW11 from the rose.
Alternatively you could pull through a three core and earth cable which
would do the job.

Unless anyone else can think of another way to obtain a neutral return
using the existing wiring provision of course....
