Why would it need power ?

I would imagine one pair is an Anti Tamper loop and will test short circuit, the other pair will be the mat and will be open/short circuit chaning state when pressure is applied.

Thats what I would guess anyway..

Guys,

I got a stairs sensor mat ages ago and there's no instructions.

I have two wires pre-bared and two fully sleeved, obviously one set is the switch and one set is the 12V DC supply, does anyone know what is what?

K.
