I
have
an airing cupboard which is central to the house and that is where I would
like
to mount the boiler as it is the easiest place to get to all the pipework
(that's where the pipework for both the hot water and heating actually tap
off
the flow and return feeds that run to the boiler which is sited way off in
the
kitchen.
All
that will need doing is the gas supply extending up into there (which
shouldn't
be too hard for an installer) and the flue taking out of the roof space
(which
is more problemmatical). The only convenient boundary wall to place it on
would
either be in a bedroom (not nice) or on the starwell (also not nice as
it's
open into the living room). Loft mounting would be possible but using the
airing
cupboard would result in about a 4ft run of pipework before
hitting
the shower or the bath!

question...
I have mine in my old airing cupboard. But I also
have
a shallow roof.
If you want
more
info, Im off home at 2pm - I have the manual is that would help. Maybe
think
about siting it in the loft space on the wall - wish we'd done that
instead,
keep more space below.

Normal or fan-assisted
? <<Haven't decided yet...>>
My fan
assisted
has a max of around 1.5metres - it's a Worcester combi.
Flues that use the vacuum (such
as
in flats) can have very long lengths...
<<Good
... I
am trying to find out whether I can get a combi boiler fitted in my airing
cupboard which would then require a vent of a good 3m. This would explain
why
some people have said yes it can be done and some have said it
can't...>> Phil
