The electric valve idea is sound - as long as you
remember that if ALL valves are OFF that your boiler/pump can cope - bypass
loop
or a radiator controlled by lockshield valves which DS hasn't shut down

Yup - as long as it has
lockshield valves (not thermostatic) and DS hasn't turned them off
