Can't really comment yet, - only had it running on the bench with the lid

Also, I can now add the following:
There is NO IR hardware behind that tantalising IR window on the front, and
although the BIOS options exist for it, they are all disabled by default.
Presumably the same chassis is used for another model? - It would not be
especially difficult (In my very un-expert opinion) to mound an IR LED
behind that window with a little hot-glue, and retro-fit IR functionality
to
it...
The onboard network adapter is PXE compliant...
