It may work but it is not right, if the job is to be done correctly a 2 or
5
amp socket should be used which is controlled by a DIN module, this also
addresses the issue of access. Another point to bear in mind when making
changes which do not meet current standards, when you come to sell the
house
these will have to be put right, either by yourself or the purchaser, why
not just do it right from the start.
