Yes...it's possible to do that with Comfort alone Neil (it has flags and
timers) although I wouldn't recommend buying Comfort without the UCM serial
interface.

In reality the DDE link to HV and the macro execution are pretty much
instantaneous. You aren't going to get the latency time much lower than 1
second as that's how long it takes to turn the X10 light on.
