Actually I have both an FM10 and an FD10 (the plug in and DIN rail
filter
units) which are very kindly on loan to me by Laser Business Systems. I
bought
my HomeVision from them and ended up picking Li's brains about why it
"wasn't
working" (a term which must strike fear into the heart of anyone with
knowledge
of a subject).
I
have
an awful lot of kit plugged in in my computer room with some twenty
active
sockets and so running from an FM10 isn't a good idea ... the FD10 will
certainly have the capacity but I haven't tried it yet - anyway, as moving
the
socket for the TW7223 cures the problem then that seems to be
it.
I
guess I shoudl really take this opportunity to thank LBS for all their help
in
getting a dumb schmuk up and running ... I must have wiped out any profit
that
they made from me with all the help they've had to give
me!
Ah
well ... enjoying my new hobby and keeping looking for things to automate
so
hopefully they'll make enough from me to make it worth their
while!

Did you try one of those natty plug-in filter
units? I imagine they would probably do the trick (though I would guess
that
moving the CM12 a couple of inches probably costs less).

Hmm. Sounds
like
that might be my problem. I've run my CM12 to another
ring main to
avoid 'blindness' when plugged into the same outlet as my
PC
equipment. I didn't try another outlet. I'll be off to
change try that
shortly! What does the term 'Switch Mode' mean,
does it apply to all PC
PSU's?
