*sigh* Try £297 for an additional 64Meg or £90 for a replacement PSU for my
Sony VAIO PGC-C1F! If I didn't love it so much I'd cry...

...and that's still a current model!

That seems steep must be non standard memory I guess.
You might try some of the clearance sections for Dabs/Watford etc they
sometimes have older laptop memory at reduced prices
