POP3 is the bit you use to receive emails. Most (all?) ISPs that=20
provide this should allow you to access your POP3 mailbox from=20
anywhere on the Internet.

SMTP is the bit you use to send emails. You will almost certainly=20
_not_ be able to send mail through your old ISP's SMTP server once=20
you move over to NTL, so will need to reconfigure your SMTP server=20
settings to the NTL one.

I use ZoneAlarm on my dialup connection (damn good for a freebie) but=20
want a more configurable program for the cable modem.
