I "know" as much as anyone can know with something electrical. 
When you hit
OFF on your TV remote home many times does it NOT go off?  Modern
electronics are very reliable.  Same thing with X10.  If you are paranoid
you could send ALL LIGHTS OFF command several times.  I just send a single
command and in my installation this works 100% off the time.  Have you had
problems with X10 signal propogation?

You haven't grasped what I was trying to say.  They are fundementally
different.  The EcoSwitch is a proprietry system that cannot be controlled
remotely.

Firstly our loos are not dim places in day light.  However, with a quick
change in the HV macro they could of course be made to come on during
daylight.  In fact they could be made come on only if it was a Monday, it
was raining outside and the tempurature was below freezing! (silly
imaginary
example but gives you an idea of the power possible).  Of course there is a
light switch in the loos that allows anyone to turn the lights on manually.

As I said above the EcoSwitch is a propreitry system that cannot be
controlled remotely.  Hence it would be madness to put it into MY house.
Why would I put 30 odd X10 lighting curcuits round the house and then do
the
loos in a totally different incomatible system?  Madness.

I'm not knocking EcoSwitch...but hopefully you can see why I haven't used
it
in my house.
