RE: HA Books

I don't think that you can over stress the need for number 6 !!!- Probably the golden rule in Pront Use!
(Perhaps Philips should add this t the user manual :-)

Hints:

1) Remove any plastic bags - dead giveaway of new t ys.

2) Anything that doesn't have batteries in it which should have has to be new - if it has to have batteries put in Duracells so that it looks like you've had it long enough to have used the "name" set that came with it new.

3) An attic crawling with spiders is a good thing when the wife is scared of them.

4) Hide new t ys in places where she's never likely t find them - in my case this is in the garage, in the attic, in the airing cupboard, in the washing machine or in the cupboard where we keep the hoover.

5) Soaps are not an annoying 30 minutes where you can't watch "Men and motors" or whatever - it's a safe haven when you're not going to be discovered bringing in the latest toy.

6) Pront 's are an essential item - before you buy one spend time producing your CCF with Pront Edit and get it as near perfected as possible by testing on the emulator. Then all you have t do is pipe over your config and learn the controls and you're away. *DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES LOAD AN UNTESTED CCF INTO YOUR PRONTO* The pront won't care a bit but if anything doesn't work right it'll put the missuses back up and she'll hate it. Get it right and - like with me - if it ever breaks she'll be demanding another!

Thanks for all the replys on is there any good HA books out there.

I have t admit that a few weeks ago I knew nothing about HA, but thanks t
this board and a lot of web sites I now know a little.

I will keep my money and spend it on something worthwhile, I could put it
towards a Pront .
Phil where is a good hiding place from SWMBO

Cheers

I bought the Wiring book and found it ok, but not as good as this list or
any net resources out there. It is very US based.
