Re: NTL cable modem

Hi John,
I have been using a cable modem since November, initially I used ics under
win2000 pro which was fine, but it was a bit restrictive in terms of
running
certain servers on my network (couldnt open port ranges). I use Winroute
Pro
now which is brilliant.
The cable modem (which is an external unit) connects using a straight
through cat 5 cable. The newer modems also have a USB connection.

Hope that helps

Justin
