Whilst working on my new build last night, I heard a bang from the
distribution board - later in the evening I discovered that the kitchen
lights no longer worked! On investigation, I discovered the LD11 for the
kitchen has failed - swapping the unit for another solved the problem.
Does anyone know of any electrical tests I can perform on the LD11 t
discover what has failed on the unit (the fuse is ok !). Has anyone
experienced this before - or have I just got a dodgy unit?
I have had one other LD11 fail in the past, but I wasn't present t witness
whether it went bang!
The kitchen lights are rated at 800W (16 x 50W low voltage), but the light
for the other failing unit was a single 100W bulb.
Replacing bulbs and fuses is one thing, but it starts t get expensive if I
need t replace LD11's on a regular basis !
THIA
Russ
