Re: BT anytime

I use BT Internet Anytime... I had been given the same message as you, although the terms and conditions changed a couple months ago t say that:
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
7.3 If, following routine system administration of the Service (including without limitation server, network and security monitoring, and monitoring for unattended logins), we detect that your use of the Service:

(i) impairs the integrity of the system and/or the network used to provide the Service; or

(ii) causes detrimental performance of the Service t you or any other customer;

We reserve the right, on giving you prior notice where practicable, t suspend your access t the Service (without prejudice t our right t terminate this Contract under paragraph 8.1) until we receive assurance from you that you will not use the Service in such a manner.

7.4 You should be aware that while the BTinternet Anytime service is intended to provide 24-hour internet access availability, it is not intended t be an "always on" service. Accordingly, we reserve the right in particular to take the action described in paragraph 7.3 above against customers subscribing t that service whom we reasonably consider are:

(i) leaving their internet connection online while unattended; or

(ii) configuring their computer to automatically redial their internet connection in their absence
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
So you may find that although it works 7x24 (with 2hr cut off) at the moment, if you use it this way, you may find your account ceased.

I guess it is similar to the motorway cops... if the traffic keeps moving at sensible rates (even though it is above the speed limit) then they probably turn a blind eye... but the guy that goes up the hard shoulder / behaves like a pratt will get pulled.

So if Ian upsets the missus and suddenly dissapears we know that she's
dissolved his parts in a bath of acid....
