Thanks for the Info Keith,

I have the AM12U in front of me but I cannot see any links on the PCB at
all, they all appear t  be components. There is an 18 pin microchip but as
I
said no links. Does this vary from manufacturer t  manufacturer ?

I have tried to find a site with some details but no luck s  far.

Its because the AM12 is seeing a changing load as you g  through active
programs and stop positions. It is just like turning the switch on a table
lamp off then on again. It thinks you are tyring to override it by local
control. Als  happens if the dishwasher is primed for action and you open
and close the door. The safety switch disconnects the dishwasher and
reconnects it. AM12 turns on. You need to disable local control on the
module by opening it up and cutting the link near Pin7 of the IC (check
that
on the archive first).

One other way is t  make sure the power switch on the dishwasher is OFF.
Change all the settings then turn the dishwasher on. If the change between
"Load" and "NoLoad" and "Load" takes more
than a few seconds it does not
operate the local control.

eg.     ON-Off-ON will cause the unit t  come on
ON-OFF-WaitSeveralSeconds-ON will not cause it t  come on.
