All the pins are in the shell but only three wires and two grounds make it int the SCART connector - that's composite video, video ground, left/right audio and audio ground.

I'm just going t go cause hell with Currys in Basingstoke on Monday morning...

Are all the pins fitted t the shell. ?

If not then if the RGB pins (with associated grounds) are not there it CANT be an RGB lead.

Mention "Trading Standards" and "Goods not fit for purpose"

Then if they dont refund or exchange for a proper lead, contact the Trading Standards dept.

...when it's a Currys RGB PS2 lead.

Try explaining t the Currys salesmen that an RGB + audio lead needs more than the composite video + Left and Right audio connections made.

They insist it is RGB becase it says so on the box ... I agree that the box says it is but the colour fringing, dullness of display and SCART pinout diagram say otherwise. Anyway ... because I've opened it then they say that they won't take it back however they will test it and if it is faulty they will swap it for another of the same type.  I'm not happy about them "testing" it as I had t explain t the muppet what the difference was between composite and RGB!

As far as they're concerned if it shows a picture then that's what its supposed t do.

Shitbags!

Anyway ... just bought the Sony RGB lead and it's immeasurably better!

Phil
