A quick question which I am sure is obvious to someone......

after clearing out homebase of x10 kit :-) I am in the process of
adding it to my setup...

I currently use activehome on my pc, and have setup a fast macro on
there on address b4 - this works fine from the PC and the RF
controller, but if I use the button on the bedside timer unit nothing
happens....

is this because the timer cannot "see" the CM12? or can it not
operate macros?

Also was looking at using an electric heating valve (Screwfix :-)
url - http://www.screwfix.com/product.phtml?4954)
to turn my garden
water on and off, has anyone any experience of doing this? what sort
of control does this need, I presume it is not as simple as apply
power, valve open, turn power off valve shut?)

Thanks

Dan
