Ah!! TV PSU. My Rouchlinc stopped receiving X10 signals when I got a new TV. I'll unplug the TV tonight to see if that makes a difference .Any ideas as to how to resolve this?

Dan

I had this problem a while back with a mini timer

It appears that the “TX strength” for want of a better word is not as good in the Mini timer as in other X10 devices

Try different sockets to prove this

I ended up running another feed to the bedroom

Though it could be a TV PSU killing  the X10

It confused me for a while as other types of controllers would work happily from the socket that was causing the mini timer problems

A quick question which I am sure is obvious to someone......

after clearing out homebase of x10 kit :-) I am in the process of
adding it to my setup...

I currently use activehome on my pc, and have setup a fast macro on
there on address b4 - this works fine from the PC and the RF
controller, but if I use the button on the bedside timer unit nothing
happens....

is this because the timer cannot "see" the CM12? or can it not
operate macros?

Also was looking at using an electric heating valve (Screwfix :-)
url - http://www.screwfix.com/product.phtml?4954) to turn my garden
water on and off, has anyone any experience of doing this? what sort
of control does this need, I presume it is not as simple as apply
power, valve open, turn power off valve shut?)

Thanks

Dan
