One of the questions I also have concerns the permanent fitting of the
aircon...

When I make a hole in the wall to push the 'cable/connector' through, can I
cement right up to the cable, or should I leave a gap around it & use
mastic
to 'seal' the join to the connector itself?

I guess the mastic option is probably better, since I could more easily
remove the cable if necessary.

Any thoughts?
